Cavaliers sweep Hoopla, aid cancer research

Canterbury emerged victorious in all three of its games at Saturday’s Hoopla! event, and the American Cancer Society was a winner, too, as fans generously donated more than $1700 to the fight against Cancer.
Scott Kreiger’s rested his starters for most of the second half, but his Lady Cavaliers still cruised to an 85-25 victory over Lakewood Park. Tabitha Gerardot led all scorers in the game with 22 points on 9-13 shooting. Freshman Bailey Farley went 6-6 from the field and scored 12 points.
In the nightcap, Austin Hatch drained 4 of 6 three-pointers to lead Ben Ottenweller’s Cavaliers in scoring with 20 points; Canterbury cruised to a 56-35 victory over the visiting Panthers.
