The Positive Coaching Alliance announced on Monday that Canterbury School has earned the organization’s National Honoring the Game Award. Congratulations to Athletics Director Ken Harkenrider and the athletics department for this honor!

Friday, December 11th was a huge night for the Canterbury varsity boys basketball team. The Cavs led the Adams Central Flying Jets 28-19 at the half. Junior Jason Jordan had a big half, along with sophomore Davis Rao, who had 2 key blocks toward the end of the second quarter just as the Flying Jets were making a run. Marquel Cooper, junior point guard, played great in the first half as he was running the show with many assists to Jordan and several made free throws.

Friday, December 4 was another big night for Canterbury boys basketball. Both junior varsity and varsity pulled off wins against Eastside’s Blazers, the JV winning 44-38, and varsity, 59-44.

The Canterbury swim team had its first meet of the season that included both boys and girls on December 2 at the Southside Natatorium.

Three Canterbury seniors scored in double figures against South Side on Wednesday night, and Scott Kreiger’s Lady Cavaliers overcame a number of turnovers to knock off the Class 4A Lady Archers for the first time since the 2004-05 season, 62-58.

The Lady Cavs put on their swim caps and secured their goggles before diving into the pool for their first meet Tuesday night at South Side’s Helen P. Brown Natatorium. Canterbury’s swimmers faced Snider’s JV team in this practice meet, and though no official score was being kept, there were many very close races between the Lady Cavs and Lady Panthers.
