Monday was the last home game for the Lady Cavs, which made it senior night and the girls played with heart and soul. The Heritage Lady Patriots were sent home after an impressive 71-24 defeat.

Desimone earns Track Club honor

February 1st 2010

Senior runner Kate DeSimone has earned yet another award; she has been named the High School Distance Runner of the Year by the Fort Wayne Track Club at that organization’s banquet on Sunday. Swimmers honor seniors, take final meet

Full night for winter sports teams

January 19th 2010

Tuesday looks to be a busy evening for Canterbury athletics, as all of the winter sports teams will be in action tonight. Swimming will celebrate their senior night tonight at Brown Natatorium at South Side High School; join coach Tamara Lombard in honoring the seniors at 5:45 p.m., prior to the 6 p.m. meet. The boys basketball team travels to Norwell for a matchup with the Class 3A Knights (7-4). That game will be broadcast on local radio on 100.1 FM, and can also be heard online at www.wellscountyvoice.com (or find a more direct link here). The varsity game is set to tip at 7:30 p.m. The girls team will be in action at home against Central Noble (10-5), with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Cavaliers sweep Hoopla, aid cancer research

Canterbury emerged victorious in all three of its games at Saturday’s Hoopla! event, and the American Cancer Society was a winner, too, as fans generously donated more than $1700 to the fight against Cancer.

Hoopla! back again this Saturday

Canterbury’s annual Hoopla! and Coaches vs. Cancer event returns to the high school on Saturday, January 16, as the Cavaliers take on Lakewood Park in 3 games involving high school teams. Join the boys and girls teams as they support the American Cancer Society, and enjoy chili and hot dogs in the high school cafeteria as part of the festivities. All after-school activities cancelled today

Due to increasing snowfall in the Fort Wayne area, and predictions of continued accumulation, all after-school activities at Canterbury High School have been cancelled for this afternoon, Thursday, January 7. This includes games, practices, clubs, fine arts, and all other extracurricular activities.
